The Covered Passages and the Sacred Heart play in the shelter. Other routes adapt to slightly unfavourable weather conditions; in case of extreme conditions, your game can be postponed once.
No, you play alone. If other players are on the same session, they play on their side, without crossing you. The game master remains visible and available throughout the game.
